#19 Sharks split pair of games at Space Coast Games

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The #19 ranked Nova Southeastern Softball team split a pair of games on Wednesday afternoon at the Space Coast Games. The Sharks opened up the day with a 6-2 loss against Franklin Pierce before bouncing back with a dominant 10-0 victory over Molly in run-rule fashion. 

 Breakdown (GAME ONE)

How it Happened

BOT 1st – Lauren Margolis started the action with an RBI single to put NSU up 1-0.  

TOP 4th – Franklin Pierce tacked on four runs to take a 4-1 lead.  

BOT 5th – An RBI double by Brenna Lokeinsky brought the Sharks within two runs. 

TOP 7th – The Ravens added two insurance runs to secure their 6-2 victory over NSU.

How it Happened

TOP 2nd – NSU poured in four runs, thanks to RBIs from Cassidy Patterson (1), Maliyah Lawson (1), and Brenna Lokeinsky (2). 

TOP 4th – An error by the Lions allowed the fifth Shark run to score. 

TOP 5th – NSU's run barrage continued as Abbey Moore batted in two runs to extend their lead to 7-0. Shortly after, Moore was able to score off an error by Molloy. Maliyah Lawson would then close out the scoring with a sacrifice fly, sealing the 10-0 win for the Sharks in run-rule fashion.

What's Next

The Sharks will head on the road for an SSC series against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on March 21st. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
